Development Coordinator

Job Type: Full-Time

Starting Salary: $40,000

Position Summary: This is a professional position serving at the coordinator level of the organization. This position enhances the mission and vision of Family Network and takes a lead role in planning, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive fundraising program on behalf of Family Network. This role also has primary responsibility for all Family Network publications.

The Development Coordinator will oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of all efforts to leverage donations- including monetary and in-kind. This role will work closely with the Executive Director and committees, as well as staff, on all fundraising events.

Bilingual Parent Educator

Job Type: Full-Time

Starting Salary: $33,280

Position Summary: The Parent Educator position works directly with families in a one on one manner, in the home. At Family Network, we follow the Healthy Families America model which is a strengths-based, holistic approach to support families during the first years of their child's life. Families are referred from our community partners and often face significant challenges, including but not limited to: homelessness, substance abuse history, child abuse history, mental health challenges, teen pregnancy, developmental delay, low income, English as Second Language, etc.

The Parent Educator is responsible for initiating and maintaining regular (at least weekly) and long-term (up to three years) contact/support with families. This activity will occur primarily within the family’s home.

The work should be family-centered and strength-based and directed at establishing a trusting relationship; assisting in strengthening the parent-child relationship; assisting parents in improving their skills to optimize the home environment; improving the family support system; and increasing the family’s ability to problem solve and assume the role of advocate for themselves and their children.

Internship Opportunities available:

Social Media and Marketing Internship (10-20 hrs weekly)

  • The student will work to maintain a plan and content for communications and engagement, managing social media sites as well as email marketing.

  • Make connections with community partners and work on cooperative events to spread awareness about the organization and attract more supporters.

  • Aid in fundraising activities.

Healthy Families Internship (10-15 hrs weekly)

  • The student will maintain a log of donations and organize them as they come in. 

  • Maintain the referral email account and pass on referrals as appropriate and respond to referral partners.

  • Data management for accreditation purposes.

  • Assist home visitors in prep and planning of home visits, i.e. activities, make sure assessments are printed and filed, learning toys are cleaned and organized. 

  • Assist in any event and fundraising opportunities. 

Diaper Collective Internship (15-20 hrs weekly)

  • Help manage volunteers during diaper wrapping events.

  • Wrap diapers for distribution.

  • Manage distribution days, pulling orders and coordinating with partner agencies.

  • Help manage diaper drives, pick up and drop off a community locations.

  • Manage quarterly survey data for grants and fundraising.
