My parent educator showed me that even though I am a single mother of two daughters, that wouldn’t stop me from doing anything I wanted to, in fact she let me know how valuable I was as a young mother, if I needed someone to talk to me she was there.

Home Visiting

We provide a prenatal and parenting education program accredited by Healthy Families America: a national, researched based home visiting model.

The goals of this program are:

  • Empower families who are pregnant and parenting to provide a healthy, nurturing and stimulating environment for their children

  • Create positive family relationships

  • Improve parent-child interactions, and support the child’s social emotional well-being.

  • Once a family is referred for services, parent educators reach out to learn more about their current needs.

  • After learning about each family’s unique situation, staff will recommend services for families based on their needs. Our home visiting program is always voluntary.

  • If families agree to enroll, staff will work with families long-term. Families are offered services for a minimum of three years, and are visited weekly at the start.

  • Services are culturally respectful, and our parent educators are chosen based on their ability to establish trusting relationships with families.

The Diaper Collective

In partnership with Bread of Life Food Pantry, we have launched a diaper bank that distributes diapers to partners agencies in NWA already serving families and children. Each agency can enter into an agreement with us to receive diapers monthly based on the number of children they serve.
